* Use `PKG_CHECK_MODULES`, if it's available,to find the `ao` lib. Disable the macOS build `github` action check, as it no longer can find `dns_sd` functions in the `macos-latest` (i.e. macOS 13) runner, even though it is still visible in macOS 13.3.5.
