If mDNS device discovery is supposed to be used, then the container needs to run on the host network instead of the default bridge network,
as multicast traffic is usually only routed via the host network, i.e. use "--network=host" as additional argument.
Then the device argument can be omitted (as long as there is only one mDNS discoverable device on the net), e.g.:
